2021-02-09 · Background Most temperate bats are regular hibernators in the winter. Knowledge about the length of their active season and how they adjust their nightly activity throughout the season, is critical to conservation. The characteristics of these are likely to vary with climate as well as latitude. This study investigated the flight activity of the soprano pipistrelle Pipistrellus pygmaeus in

We compared the distribution of call types between both sites using a two-sample χ 2 test conducted on 554 social calls from the maternity roost and 346 social calls from the autumn swarming site. For this analysis, we only used files that contained social calls from different nights, in total summing up to 45 minutes of sound recordings for each site. Abstract. 43 Summary of results of presented research Since discrimination of two cryptic species inside Pipistrellus pipistrellus s.l based on echolocation calls (Jones & van Parijs 1993), social calls (Barlow & Jones 1997), and molecular data (Barratt et al. 1997), the genus Pipistrellus have been studied intensively.

I Finland, och tidigare även i Sverige, kallas den trollfladdermus [2]. Fladdermusen kallade ursprungligen Nathusius Flädermus [5], ännu 1952 används namnet Nathusius' fladdermus.
